With natural color of the feathers are more attractive Flamingos

Juan Amat and colleagues at the Doñana Biological Research Station in Seville, Spain, have shown in a recent study, Flamingos that miss their feathers a kind of natural make-up, to act on attractive sexual partners. For the first time, this study provides evidence, that birds are the color pigments (Karotinoide) spread from their uropygial gland secretions for cosmetic reasons in the plumage.
